This week Vangaurd will be at the Stoddarts starting at 10.

We are looking at Africa! How much do you know about this continent?

Start by reading about Booker T. Washington and come prepared to discuss,

and then choose two or more of the inspirements.

I am so excited to learn about this amazing place from each of you

and hear your insights about this amazing man

INSPIREMENTS

Africa has a number of unique natural wonders. Find one of them and bring pictures and information to teach us about it.

Come prepared to teach us about deserts. What causes them, what lives in them and how they survive.

Teach us about some of the different cultures (or religions) in Africa. How are they different from our culture? What is good or bad about they're beliefs?

Find a story that explains the creation that originated in Africa. Bring it and share it with our group.

What do people in Africa eat? Can you find anything that you think would be yummy to bring and share? Make sure you tell us where it is from and something about the people who cook or prepare it.

What are some of the art forms that are unique to Africa. Bring one to share that you created yourself or bring pictures to demonstrate originals from the country.

Write a fictional story to share based in Africa.

How would the idea of liberty change the way so many of the people in Africa live? Come prepared to explain and answer questions.
